Established in 1998, Feng Hua Chinese School is a non-political, non-religious and non-profit community language school supported by the Community Languages Program of NSW Department of Education and Communities, with its academic results also being recognized by public high schools. Feng Hua is a member school of ‘NSW Federation of Community Language Schools’. We endeavor to popularize Chinese Mandarin and teach Chinese Simplified Characters and Pinyin in our school. The main goal of Feng Hua is to promote Chinese culture and to increase the cultural and educational exchanges between China and Austria, as to support Australia’s multi-culture policy too.
Teaching aims:
Feng Hua Chinese School has committed to teach the students to acquire basic Chinese language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing; and to promote Chinese cultural education as well. The students here are learnt to be bilingual personnel with the ability of practical use of knowledge and of creative thinking. They will also be trained as multi-cultural communicators in the future in the areas of politics, economics and culture between Australia and Chinese in this new era.
Teachers:
The teachers in our school are qualified teachers. Most of the teachers who work here now used to be teachers in the key primary schools or high schools or key colleges in mainland China. They are very experienced and zealous in teaching. They also have excellent teaching skills, which have earned a good reputation for the school and are highly praised by the students and their parents.
